Cookie Policy
We keep cookies to a minimum. The only cookies that ever run are analytics cookies, and they load only if you say yes. Here is exactly what we use and how to control it.

Cookies and local storage, briefly
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature for saving small amounts of data on your device. We use both sparingly, and never for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept or Reject analytics cookies — both options are given equal prominence, and nothing non-essential runs until you choose. Google Analytics does not load unless you accept. You can change your decision at any time by selecting “Cookie settings” in the site footer, which reopens the banner. Rejecting (or later withdrawing) also clears Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
What we use
Strictly necessary & functional (always on, no consent needed)
These are stored in your browser's local storage, stay on your device, and are never sent to us:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| iwp:cookie-consent | Local storage | Remembers your Accept/Reject choice so we don't ask again | Until you clear it |
| iwp:saved-articles | Local storage | Remembers articles you bookmark | Until you clear it |
| iwp:completed-lessons | Local storage | Remembers your knowledge-path progress ticks | Until you clear it |
Analytics — cookieless (always on, no consent needed)
We use a privacy-friendly analytics measurement that gauges aggregate traffic without setting any cookies and without profiling you or tracking you across sites. Because it stores nothing on your device and processes no personal identifiers, it requires no consent.
Analytics cookies — only if you accept
Google Analytics helps us understand how the site is used. Its cookies are set only after you accept:
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes unique visitors | Up to 2 years | |
| _ga_<container-id> | Maintains session state for Google Analytics | Up to 2 years |
Google processes this data as our provider; see Google's Privacy Policy. The analytics data we collect is retained for 14 months. More detail on legal bases, transfers, and your rights is in our Privacy Policy.
Managing cookies in your browser
Beyond our banner, you can block or delete cookies and clear site data through your browser settings. Doing so may reset your saved articles and path progress, since those rely on local storage. Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” signal; because there is still no agreed standard for honouring it, we instead rely on the explicit Accept/Reject choice above.
Changes
If the cookies or storage we use change, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
